Israel-Hezbollah Cease Fire

The cease fire between Israel and Hezbollah has almost completed its second day.

A fragile peace its been with skirmishes highlighting the first dayt. All the
while waiting for the UN peacekeepers to arrive.

The United Nations peace keeping forces. Not exactly what Jesus had in mind
when he stated in The Sermon on the Mount;

"Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." Matthew 5:9 KJV

The UN has a dismal record in regards to its peace keeping roles. The list of
failures is long. Angola, Kashmir, Congo, Haiti, Kosovo, Bosnia,
Somalia, Sierra Leone and on it goes.

Add to this a lack of accountability leading to corruption and violence even murder
and you can see why I am skeptical of a lasting peace.

From here it looks like the UN peacekeeping efforts have been a dismal failure.
